Lag B'Omer Field Day

The rain has finally stopped and the skies have provided us with a beautiful, sunny day for celebrating Lag B'Omer. The children enjoyed riding bikes, tossing bean bags, parachutes, frisbees, basketballs, and more. Most classes had snack outside which included roasted potatoes and icy pops!

Box Week is here!

We've always heard that children find the best part of a birthday gift to be the box in which is arrives! Well, there is no doubting that adage when you see what is going on in our classrooms. Box Week is a much anticipated activity here at the ECC. The creativity of the children always surprises us and they get so excited to show everyone what they've built. Below is a collage of pictures from the past several days of Box Week. Click on the images to see them larger and read the descriptions... Slide Show #1 Slide Show #2 Slide Show #3

Celebrating Yom Ha'atzmaut

Rabbi Antine and our music teacher, Anne-Laurie joined the ECC today to help us celebrate Yom Ha'atzamut. We took a "flight" to Israel and landed at the Kotel. We sang Hatikva, danced and waved our flags and placed notes at the wall. Here are some photos (double click on the photos to enlarge) and videos of our celebration (published on an unlisted private site). We had so much fun today!

Israel in our classrooms

If you were to visit our school today, there would be no mistaking that our thoughts are with Israel on its upcoming birthday. Our classrooms and hallways are decorated in celebration and our children are immersed in learning all about Israel. Here is a peek into our school window:
