Chanukah 2016

The ECC children have been thoroughly immersed in all things Chanukah over the past two weeks! With the holiday occurring during Winter Break, our teachers have been giving the children a preview of what to expect. The experience of lighting candles, singing, making latkes and decorations are all preparing the children for their traditional celebrations at home. Here is a look at what we've been doing... Pajama Havdallah

The ECC gathered together this past Saturday night for a special Pajama Havdallah. Rabbi Antine and Maharat Fruchter arrived in their pajamas ready to sing and celebrate the end of Shabbat with all the children. After Havdallah, the children enjoyed cookies & milk and candle making.

4's Mitzvah Project

Please help the Dubonim & Dagim 4’s classes with their Mitten, Glove & Hat Mitzvah Project. The children are learning about chessed (acts of kindness) and are collecting mittens, gloves and hats that they will be donating to their neighbors in need from Montgomery county. The children have made signs to hang around the school and are going to all of the classrooms, spreading the word. Please help us by delivering donations to the bins outside of classrooms 307 and 308 (upstairs level of the school). The deadline for donations is Thursday, December 22nd, as the class will be mailing the collection before the Winter Break.
