From Seed to Feed
This year, the Dubonim class planted a variety of items in our Children's Garden. If you visit the Garden (by the lower playground) you will see items blooming in various stages. Milkweed was planted to feed the Monarchs, as the children have been learning all about caterpillars and butterflies. They also planted sunflowers, beanstalks and radishes. The beanstalks are beginning to grow very tall and the children love going outside daily to compare the height of the stalk to their own height.
The most exciting thing to come out of the garden so far are the radishes. The children picked them yesterday and got to taste them at lunch time. Some of the kids remembered the bitter taste of the radishes from eating them as part of their Pesach seder.
