Celebrating Tu B'Shevat

If you visited the ECC today, you would hear lots of kids singing Happy Birthday to the trees! Seeing the cold, bare trees outside our windows, its hard to imagine blooming trees filled with fruits of all kinds! Therefore, many of our classes have looked to the internet for pictures of the trees in Israel and around the world. We've planted seeds for the Spring and brought in lots of fruit, fresh and dried, to enjoy eating in honor of the trees. Here are some photos of what is happening around the school today for Tu B'Shevat . . .

ECC in the News

Here is an article detailing The Morim Early Childhood Program; an exciting project involving the Beth Sholom ECC. Directed by Mara Bier, early childhood specialist and consultant, in conjunction with SOS International, Beth Sholom was one of only two schools selected from over 40 local Jewish preschools. The ECC staff spent an intense 10 days working with educators from Eastern Europe on best practices and guiding them in how we develop a Jewish and Reggio inspired curriculum within our school.
