Purim is here, and our classrooms have been filled with excitement! The children have been working so hard to get ready for this joyful holiday, and we are so proud of all they have accomplished.

We spent time learning and retelling the story of Purim. Some children performed puppet shows, while others dressed up and acted out the story themselves. They practiced their lines and brought the characters to life with enthusiasm and confidence.

One of the highlights was the baking of hamantaschen. The students carefully measured, mixed, rolled, and filled the dough with their favorite flavors. They worked on shaping the cookies and were thrilled to enjoy the delicious results of their hard work. Some classes even graphed their favorites. And, boy did it smell yummy here!

The creativity continued as the children made colorful masks and decorated their own groggers. Each class groggers were so creative and perfect for making lots of noise when we hear Haman’s name during the Purim story!

It has been a wonderful few weeks of Purim exploration — Chag Purim Sameach! 🎭
