Shavuot = Cheesecake, Ice Cream & YUM!

We’ve had a very busy and exciting week preparing for Shavuot! The children learned how to make cheesecake, ice cream, and butter through lots of hands-on activities. They used their muscles to shake bags of cream, roll jars of milk, and stir large bowls of cheese to create delicious treats to enjoy together.

We also spent time learning about the Ten Commandments and discussing important classroom rules, as well as rules that help guide us in life. The children listened to a special story about the mountain chosen for the giving of the Torah — not the tallest or most impressive mountain, but the one that was humble and not boastful. Ask your child if they can remember which mountain it was! (hint: it was Har Sinai) Chag Shavuot Sameach!
